Father’s Day at Glenview House
Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16th! Have you made Father’s Day plans? If you haven’t, no worries! Glenview House has you covered. Fathers can feast on a perfectly grilled and seasoned Porterhouse Steak topped with a bordelaise sauce and served with a ‘loaded’ baked potato ($34). Dads can also choose from more than 100 specialty beers, whiskies and cocktails, like $5 Bloody Marys! Pinstripes is celebrating dads everywhere with a hearty brunch buffet filled with his favorite things to eat! The buffet includes dishes like create-your-own-omelets, waffles, salad bar, fresh seafood, carved prime rib, flatbreads and even a BBQ buffet! The BBQ station includes grilled favorites like corn on the cob, Italian sausage, char-grilled burgers, marinated skirt steak, grilled chicken, baby back ribs and more! Weber Grill‘s Executive Chef Larry Donahue has created specially crafted menu items for Mother’s Day! A select menu of sweet and savory brunch specials and premium entree dishes will be available! The Brunch “A-La-Carte” features will be served until 2:00pm and include dishes like the Firehouse Egg (Weber’s version of the classic croque-madame, $11.50), Irish Skillet Hash (beef brisket and smoked pork, $11.50), Chocolate Cherry Pretzel Bread French Toast (with strawberries and mascarpone whipped cream, $10.50) and Double Smoked Bourbon Glazed Ham Benedict (with grilled Roma tomato, hollandaise, brioche, asparagus and hashbrowns, $11.50). The Entree features that will be served all day include George’s Bank Plank Grilled Scallops (with grilled asparagus, tomato and herb vinaigrette, $23) and Wood-Grilled Filet Mignon “Oscar” (Aurora angus filet mignon topped w/crab & artichoke, $32). Benny’s Chop House will be bringing in the bacon, literally! Benny’s executive pastry chef, Aaron Lindgren, will be participating in this year’s Baconfest Chicago on April 20th. His Baconfest menu includes the sweet and savory Strawberry Rhubarb “Pie” with Applewood Smoked Bacon Streusel and a unique Applewood Smoked Bacon Doughnut with Green Apple Jelly and Apple Butter. Also, Benny’s Mixologist, Natalie Converse, will feature the B-Cubed, B3 (Benny’s Bacon Bitters); a cocktail using Kentucky’s Buffalo Trace Bourbon infused with smoked bacon, a touch of cream and topped with a delicate splash of Benny’s house-made bacon bitters. And for those of you that didn’t get tickets for Baconfest (the event is sold out!), don’t despair!
